The online Bachelor of Science in Human Services curriculum prepares you to become the advocate your community needs. Through generalist coursework, you will gain a foundational understanding of the human services field as you explore topics such as social welfare, social work policy, human behavior, and inequality. You will graduate with widely transferable skills that will help you assess needs and identify community resources for clients in various settings.

Our online undergraduate programs include courses in a variety of key content areas — such as science, culture, social history, and the arts — that represent different ways of thinking about the world and of approaching complex topics. These learning opportunities within and across disciplines prepare our undergraduate students to solve a wide range of challenges in their lives, careers, and communities.
Like many of our students who decided to continue their undergraduate academic journey with Simmons, you may have transferable credits that fulfill key content area requirements. Be sure to submit all academic transcripts for review — we accept up to 96 transfer credits.
