The online IT and cybersecurity degree program, designed by expert Simmons faculty, includes courses in computer science and information technology — plus specialized topics that align with a variety of roles and responsibilities, such as project management, statistics, and systems analysis.
Our curriculum combines immersive class sessions and interactive coursework with a cybersecurity capstone project to help you gain confidence and competency as an IT and cybersecurity professional. Get to know some of our featured courses:
- Foundations of Information Technology (CS 110): Explore fundamental issues and concepts in the IT field as you get hands-on experience working with systems and applications.
- Systems Analysis and Design (CS 343): Collaborate with a team and hone the skills needed to design complex computer-based application systems, such as technical analysis, project planning and management, and designing for usability.
- Cybersecurity (CS 327): This capstone course brings together your understanding of computers, networks, and programming to teach you how to protect and defend computer systems from targeted and generic cyber threats.
